In the first half of 2009 online advertising expenditures overtook TV advertising to become the single biggest advertising medium in the UK according to the Internet Advertising Bureau.
Online Display Advertising is the closest thing to old-fashioned advertising in magazines, billboards or TV. The advertiser rents space on certain websites which are related to your target audience and puts a creative ad in that space. Visitors to those websites then click on your ads and land on your website or on a specially crafted landing page.
